Best Workplaces Australia 2026 celebrating QMetrix's recognition

This prestigious ranking follows the company’s recent Great Place to Work® certification – the fourth consecutive win – underscoring its ongoing commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace culture.

The Best Places to Work list recognises organisations that seamlessly blend strong business performance with high-trust, people-first environments. Rankings are based on employee feedback collected through the Trust Index™ survey, keeping the focus on real employee experience.

David Huynh, Director at QMetrix

So, what are some things that shape a “Best Place to Work”? There are several elements and you can read how our team ranked various aspects of working at QMetrix here. Here are some to elaborate on:

One challenge facing people leaders today is how to balance time spent on producing outcomes versus personal development. Especially in a busy client-centric environment, there is often more work to be done.

At QMetrix, we recognise that people are at the core of everything the company does. While it takes time and intentionality to invest in personal development, leadership believe that it pays off in the long run; when people grow, they also have higher levels of job satisfaction and perform better.

As an example of this, QMetrix staff indicated wanting more professional development, as well as being given the dedicated time to pursue it. The company acknowledged this desire and prioritised it. Key initiatives included investing in a learning platform that provides open access to a library of online courses, and creating peer groups around specific development topics to increase uptake and review learnings.

The response has been positive, and improvement in this area has been clearly reflected in responses across Great Place to Work surveys over the past years.

When it comes to employee benefits, QMetrix doesn’t compete to offer the biggest or best perks. Instead, we consider direct employee feedback and focus on what works specifically for our unique organisation, aiming to create an overall positive culture that attracts people to join and compels them to stay.

Case in point – one unique aspect of QMetrix is our size and the way we work. We avoid the constraints of unnecessary layers of hierarchy or bureaucracy, which are not required in a team of 35 people.

Another key part of the culture and work environment is the genuine flexibility QMetrix offers. We offer hybrid work arrangements where people can mix working from home and the office, a purchased leave program, flexible work timing where it makes sense, and parents can drop off and pick up their kids in the middle of the day with no fuss.

The core focus remains on empowering individuals to do what works best for them while operating within the context of business need. In return, the team consistently delivers their best work.

Louise Daglish, HR Manager at QMetrix, says, “I have worked at several companies and as a HR consultant through my career, and I can honestly say that QMetrix is a positive place to work at. You see people who truly enjoy what they do, leaders who care about their people, and a culture that is uplifting”.

With this double recognition in 2026 – both the Great Place to Work certification and ranking among Australia’s best small businesses – QMetrix proves that a focus on the team’s professional growth, alongside full trust in the team’s capabilities, is a fantastic way to build a successful work culture that people enjoy being part of.

This doesn’t mean we rest on our laurels. Moving forward and as QMetrix grows, the company remains dedicated to shaping its culture alongside its people so we can continue being truly one of the Best Places to Work in the APAC region.
