QMetrix recognises that many businesses already have an investment in Microsoft technology, particularly in small to mid-sized businesses, and therefore have a number of certified consultants in Microsoft BI.

Where appropriate, an organisation’s Business Intelligence Architecture may require a data-warehouse or a master data management capability.  Rather than spend significant sums on purchasing new software, these components can be developed and deployed using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) in conjunction with QMetrix’s own ETL FastTrack, as well as Microsoft Master Data Services (MDS).

QMetrix ETL FastTrack

QMetrix ETL FastTrack is a prebuilt framework using Microsoft SSIS. ETL FastTrack ensures your data-warehouse (DWH) initiatives get off to a flying start, incorporating functionality such as rollback, workflow management, scheduling, incremental updates, auditing and error handling. ETL FastTrack is deployed free with QMetrix DWH projects and provides the key foundational components of the DWH, so outcomes are delivered sooner and ongoing maintenance of the DWH, once in production, is low.

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

SSIS can provide the requisite information management foundation that can deliver unified, accurate, and timely data across your organisation.

SSIS will provide the capability to:

  • Integrate data from multiple, diverse data sources
  • Cleanse and profile data in order to improve data quality
  • Implement metadata management to ensure data lineage and history
  • Manage information throughout its lifecycle to enhance control and compliance

Master Data Services (MDS)

Master Data Services (MDS) is the SQL Server solution for master data management.

MDS allows business users to manage any domain, including, but nor restricted to customers, products, sites or general ledger codes.  Master Data Services has many features, which include the ability to maintain hierarchies, data versioning, and business rules with granular security.
